Quartet is the most revolutionary digital level control processor ever invented (as far as we're concerned, anyway!).

At first look, Quartet looks like another multi-band compressor with an EQ and limiter thrown in, but much more than that. Quartet measures the RMS power at each band, then applies the dynamics curve to the filter parameters. Then, the signal is passed to the output limiter which delivers your desired level with complete transparency. It sure sounds simple enough, but Quartet's magic is in the way it applies the dynamic curve to the filter-set that allows you to achieve unique solutions to EQ problems and to bring out dynamic punch like nothing else you've ever tried.

And, because Quartet is an Audio Units plug-in processor, it will work with your other AU-based production tools, too.

• Completely Transparent

Quartet sounds awesome! Now that's out of the way, here are some of the parameters available:

  • 4 Band Dynamic EQ
  • Compressor
  • Brick-wall Limiter
  • DC-blocker
  • Analog Peak Detection
  • De-ess
  • De-hum
  • Plus, a 'tool-chest' of immediately usable presets and the ability to save your own templates.

Quartet Comprehensive Parameter View

The side tool chest drawer contains a single parameter view with collapsible segments. You have control over what portions of the parameter window will appear in the view, as well as the size of the view. The state of the segments and the window size and position are saved with the workstation project and at workstation termination.

Quartet Graphic Band Display

The individual band tuning are combined with a single display that all bands occupy. This allows for fine control over the tuning bead and for instant comparison of band tunings.

Quartet Multi-band Save and Restore

With the Band "Wells" and Band Tool chest you can exchange tuning for all four bands or just one. Saving and restoring all four bands is as simple as a drag-and-drop operation with the shift key down.

Quartet Compression Curves

There are three compression curve controls that can specify the curve using multiple paradigms.

  • Gain Below Threshold
  • Gain Below Compression
  • Rotation Point

Really, you're going to want to read the manual on this one...
